What are the course goals?
I want this course to offer you opportunities to:
  • read and discuss the impact of technology in society
  • read and discuss technology education
  • look at the use of technologies in schools
  • explore and apply the concepts of technology education
  • demonstrate an understanding of student collaborative projects relating to technology education
  • develop practical, curriculum relevant materials for technology education classrooms

Course Structure
The structure of the class will be very relaxed. Most of the time we will be reading, working on our own projects, and discussing what we have been reading, observing and/or discovering. There will be active participation by class members as well as independent and group focus discussions and research. The majority of the time will be spent working in curriculum design teams for the technology education section. I encourage you to contact me if you are having unusual problems that are affecting the quality of your work.
